Art Club: A club that will give students the opportunity to explore and be creative with different tools and mediums in a social setting. (starts Sept 30th through May, 2nd and 4th Tuesday)
Battle of the Books: A competition that involves reading a number of books, working on a team of four, and answering a variety of questions relating to the books. (Winter during school hours)
Beyblades Club: A customizable spinning top used in a game where you launch it into a stadium to battle other tops. The goal is to be the last one spinning to knock your opponent’s top of the ring. Get ready to battle! (starts October 14th through May)
BRAVO!: An opportunity to SING and perform in a fun ensemble with your friends. We perform out in the community several times during the year. You don’t have to be in choir to participate in this singing group! (Thursdays, starts Sept 25th through May)
Color Guard: Color guard will learn routines using various equipment, such as flags, rifles, and sabers. You will be invited to march in local parades & a school assembly. (starts Sept 10th through October 15th)
Expect Respect: A small group of student leaders and role models for our school. Members of this group will be selected by their house teachers. Throughout the year members of Expect Respect will promote school-wide
Viking Pride expectations, welcome new students and work on projects related to the Viking Way. (starts October 15th through June, 3rd Wednesday)
Forensics (6th Grade Only): Forensics is a public speaking competition. Students choose a topic from multiple categories and present the topic to peers and judges. (starts December 3rd through March)
K-Kids: Sponsored by the Kiwanis Club, providing students opportunities to serve their community. (starts October 14 through May, 2nd Tuesday)
MathCounts: Students will participate in math activities and math competitions. (starts October 15th through February)
Pet Pals: Respecting animals and learning how to care for them is their mission. They support the local Humane Society by raising funds throughout the year. (starts Sept 25th through May, 2nd Thursday)
6th Grade Robotics: Teams of students build and program Lego Mindstorm robots to run a pre-designed course. Learn how to solve real world problems with a hands-on approach. (September through December, with Student Informational Meeting on Sept 16th after school in 6 Green)
Sew Much Fun: You will learn how to thread a needle, sew on a button, embroidery stitches, how to thread a sewing machine and use it safely all while making fun projects! (stats October 7th through November, April through May, Tuesdays)
Silverbrook Swifties: Students engage in a variety of Taylor Swift inspired activities, such as bracelet making, dancing, crafts, and more! A great place to meet new people who have similar interests! (3rd Tuesday, starting October 21st through May)
Strings of Steel: (6th Grade) Join your friends and perfect those music skills while playing fantastic orchestra jams! (Wednesdays, starts October 1st through May)
Student Council: Student leadership who organize fundraisers, house competitions, spirit & community building, and community service. (starts October 2nd through May, 1st Thursday)
Card Trading Club: Enjoy trading sports cards with your peers. Collectors are encouraged to participate! Pokemon cards are welcome! (starts October 1st through May, 1st Wednesday)
Viking Attack: (6th grade) Silverbrook’s version of Pep Band. This is an extra opportunity to play more fun and challenging music. (Wednesdays, starting October 1st through May)
Viking Voice School Newspaper: This monthly publication is shared with students, staff, and parents and is a celebration of our active school and our talented writers! All students are able to participate! (starts October 16th through May, 3rd Thursday)
Winter Guard: (Color Guard is a corequisite) Expand your skills on rifle, flag and sabers. Learn the Winter Guard Show and participate at weekend competitions. Attendance is essential. (Wednesdays & Sundays, September through May)
Yearbook Club: To create the school yearbook! (starts Oct 21st through March, 3rd Thursday)
